TERRACOTTA POTS

Terracotta pots in all shapes and styles are available at Inside Out.

In 2006 Inside Out travelled to Crete to source an exclusive potter.  We were thrilled to meet a very experienced professional potter in the Thrapsano area of Crete whose Cretan Terracotta is based on Minoan Pottery.  The techniques have been passed from generation to generation and we are very fortunate to also be able to modify some of the classics to generate new styles.

All of the terracotta pots are 100% handmade using clay local to the area.  They are traditionally fired in a kiln using dried olive stones giving them a handsome natural fired appearance, frost resistant, and suitable for both internal and external purposes.

The beauty of each terracotta pot being handmade is that no two will be exactly the same which in turn means that measurements may vary slightly.

We are very excited to report that we have been lucky enough to have also secured some antique Cretan terracotta pots – a rare opportunity!
