SUSSEX TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Sussex top attractions are a plenty in the South East of England. Seaside resorts to historic towns and picture-perfect villages, coast to the countryside Sussex is the most wonderful place to visit.
The Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park near Haywards Heath is run and maintained by a committed group of volunteers. It is an excellent place to visit and runs through nine miles of Sussex countryside.
Glyndebourne Opera House, Ringmer, near Lewes. Set in its own grounds Glyndebourne offers both indoor and outdoor performances.
Battle Abbey and Battlefield, Battle, East Sussex offers a wonderful walk around the battlefield where on 14th October 1066 the Normans invaded and defeated the English at the Battle of Hastings. All is explained on an audio tour where you can discover the exciting storey. The abbey built by William the Conquer is now a ruin to explore and use your imagination.
Arundel Castle a stately home and fortified castle has been the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk since 1067. It conceals a very fine collection of furniture, paintings, clocks, tapestries, amour and much, much more.
Pashley Manor Gardens, Ticehurst, Near Wadhurst, East Sussex has a wonderful landscaped garden which delight whenever you choose to visit. Pashley Manor Gardens is open to the public from April to September and throughout this time they have special events for garden and art lovers.

Sheffield Park Garden, Sheffield Park is renowned for its landscaped garden and parkland and home to the National Collection of Ghent azaleas.
Petworth House and Park, Petworth is a splendid country house with an internationally important art collection.
Nymans, Handcross, near Haywards Heath has a rare and important plant collection, which includes the tallest tree in Sussex, set in a 20th century garden and a wooded estate. |
